Ginger and James Cleland have been buying, selling, and creating jewelry for over 40 years. They started Designs In Gold in St. Louis, Missouri, but relocated to Solvang, California in 2008. The Clelands are grateful for the warm welcome they received upon first arriving to the Santa Ynez Valley, and the hospitality the community continues to extend to them. 

Their unique store features antique, vintage, and estate jewelry from all periods, along with James Cleland’s hand-fabricated pieces. Designs In Gold’s collection represents eras from the 1800s to contemporary high fashion. 

Along with selling exquisite jewelry, Designs In Gold buys it, too! Customers are encouraged to bring in unwanted gold and silver jewelry, coins, and flatware; they’ll receive an offer on the spot! The store also provides a number of helpful services, including custom jewelry design and repair.
